About us

Welcome to “Kids Going Green for Ghana” (K3G), a dynamic youth-based environmental organization committed to raising awareness among Ghanaian children and adults about the pressing need to safeguard and uphold the environmental integrity of our beloved nation, Mother Ghana. Our mission is to ignite environmental consciousness and promote waste reduction strategies through student education, achieved through impactful large-scale projects and meaningful school partnerships within the greater Accra region. By reshaping perceptions about waste and its disposal, we aim to enhance the environment for future generations while addressing current challenges such as inadequate waste management and limited education on these critical matters.

What we do

At “Kids Going Green for Ghana,” our approach to nurturing eco-champions is rooted in a blend of innovative education, immersive experiences, and empowering engagement. We recognize that fostering environmental awareness in children requires a holistic strategy that captures their imagination, ignites their curiosity, and empowers them to take meaningful action. Here’s how we do it:

Interactive Workshops

Our workshops are designed to be both informative and engaging. We use hands-on activities, interactive games, and creative projects to make learning about the environment exciting and memorable.

Environmental Literacy

Our informative sessions and discussions cover a range of topics, from biodiversity and conservation to climate change and waste reduction. We ensure children are equipped with the knowledge they need to make informed choices.

Eco-Adventures

Through our "Green Guardians Camp" and nature excursions, we provide children with the opportunity to explore the wonders of Ghana's natural landscapes firsthand. These immersive experiences create lasting connections to the environment.

Partnerships & Collaborations

We collaborate with schools, parents, local communities, and like-minded organizations to amplify our impact. By uniting efforts, we create a network of support for our young eco-champions.

Eco-Art and Creativity

We believe in the power of artistic expression. Our "Eco-Art Extravaganza" encourages children to transform recyclable materials into stunning works of art, sparking their creativity while reinforcing the importance of upcycling.

Storytelling and Role Models

We share stories of young environmental heroes and showcase successful eco-initiatives. By highlighting relatable role models, we inspire children and show them that they too can make a difference.
